Sealing Washers
Prevent leaks while distributing weight evenly under nuts and screws. These washers compress as you tighten to keep air and fluid in — and dust and contaminants out. Choose rubber, metal, or bonded constructions to match your sealing, chemical, and temperature needs.
- Rubber— Resist leaks the best; reusable a handful of times. Neoprene, Buna-N, EPDM, Santoprene, Silicone, Fluoroelastomer, and Cork/Neoprene.
- Metal (Crush)— Soft copper, cellulose-filled copper, and aluminum that deform under pressure to fill gaps — common in oil drain valves.
- Bonded— Steel or stainless steel with a bonded rubber inner ring — stronger than rubber or metal alone.
- Washdown Bonded— NEMA/IP rated to maintain enclosure washdown ratings in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical equipment.
- Sanitary Bonded— Free of crevices where dirt and bacteria collect — ideal for sanitary equipment.
