Shim Stock
Cut into custom shapes to create shims that align, space, and level components on dies, presses, and machinery. Thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair. Stack up to four shims for an exact thickness.
- Stainless Steel (18-8, 316, 17-7 PH, 17-4 PH)— Corrosion resistant for wet and outdoor environments; 316 withstands harsh chemicals and salt water.
- Carbon & Spring Steel— Best for dry areas; spring steel holds its shape under high-stress loads.
- Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Bronze, Nickel, Titanium— Lightweight or corrosion-resistant metal options for marine, electrical, or chemical service.
- PTFE & Plastic— Won't mar delicate surfaces; PTFE withstands the widest range of harsh chemicals up to 500° F.
- Adhesive-Back— Durable adhesive keeps shim stock from sliding once placed.
- Peel-Away Multilayer— Peel off layers with a utility knife until you reach your desired thickness.
