Steel Hex Head Screws

Our most popular hex head screws. These have a head with six flat sides to keep wrenches and sockets from slipping and rounding off the drive. Length is measured from under the head.

  • Medium-Strength Fastener Your go-to screws for fastening most machinery and equipment. Tensile strengths from 90,000 to 120,000 psi.
  • High-Strength Fastener Commonly used in valves, pumps, motors, and other high-stress applications. Tensile strength of 125,000 to 160,000 psi.
  • Extreme-Strength Fastener Our strongest hex head screws hold up in your most demanding high-stress applications. Tensile strength of 170,000 psi and higher.
  • Low-Strength Fastener Suitable for light-duty applications, such as securing access panels. Tensile strength of 60,000 psi and lower.
  • Black-Oxide Steel Dark, matte coating for a finished look. Minimal corrosion resistance — best for dry environments.
  • Zinc-Plated Steel A common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
  • Hot-Dipped Galvanized Steel An economical alternative to 18-8 stainless steel in wet and outdoor environments. Mate only with hot-dipped galvanized nuts.
  • Zinc-Flake-Coated Steel Tested to at least 720 hours of salt spray resistance. Embedded lubricant makes installation easier.
  • Cadmium-Plated Steel Reduces friction between the screw and your mounting surface to prevent sticking. Also creates a barrier against rust.
