Steel Socket Head Screws
Made of alloy steel, these screws are the standard for high-strength fastening. Use them in high-load applications such as dies, presses, and heavy equipment. The deep, six-point socket keeps the hex key from slipping out and damaging the drive. Length is measured from under the head.
- Black-Oxide Alloy Steel— Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these screws to rust. They have a dark, matte appearance.
- Zinc-Plated Alloy Steel— A common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
- Blue-Dyed Zinc-Plated Alloy Steel— The distinctive blue color makes it easy to tell these metric-sized screws apart from inch screws.
- Zinc-Flake-Coated Alloy Steel— Tested to extreme standards including at least 700 hours of salt spray resistance, to hold up in wet and outdoor environments.
- Cadmium-Plated Alloy Steel— The plating reduces friction between the screw and your mounting surface to prevent sticking when you tighten or loosen them. It also creates a barrier against rust.
- Military Specification— Manufactured and tested to meet strict U.S. military standards for material and construction.
