Square Nuts
Large flat sides make these nuts easy to grip with a wrench and keep them from rotating in channels and square holes. Available in low-strength steel, medium-strength steel, stainless, brass, fiberglass, and ultra-high-temperature carbon fiber.
- Low-Strength Steel— About half the strength of medium-strength; for light-duty fastening.
- Medium-Strength (SAE Grade 5)— Suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment.
- Thin-Profile (Jam Nut)— Two-thirds the height for low-clearance applications; can be jammed together.
- 18-8 / 316 Stainless— Good chemical resistance; 316 handles salt water and harsh chemicals.
- Hot-Dipped Galvanized— Thick coating for better corrosion resistance in outdoor environments.
- Brass— Corrosion resistant, electrically conductive, and nonmagnetic.
- Carbon Fiber— Won't warp at extreme temperatures up to 3,990°F.
- Fiberglass— Chemical resistant, nonconductive, and lightweight.
